Homage to the Great Thai Kings - Thailändische Klaviermusik mit Tanz

A piano performance by Thailand’s Leading pianist, Nat Yontararak, an Outstanding Contemporary Artist “Silpathorn Award” of the Ministry of Culture & Thai Steinway Artist & recipient of the Decoration of Honour “Meritorious for Polish culture” from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland,

accompanied by Thai Traditional Dance by professional leading dancers of Christian Communications Institute, Payap University Chiang Mai.

 

On the occasion of 120 & 110th Anniversary of King Rama V’s Grand Tour to Europe (1897 & 1907) and in memory of King Rama IX, Nat Yontararak will tour across Europe through 7 countries 11 concerts: Italy (Scansano, Florence, Tarquinia), Switzerland (Zofingen), France (Paris), Belgium (Brussels), Germany (Karlsruhe), Poland (Pszczyna, Warsaw, Sanok) and England (London) with selections Royal compositions arranged for piano solos and compositions dedicated to the late King Rama IX accompanied by Thai Traditional Dances. 

 

Sine Quo Non:
Sine ‘quo’ non; meaning “Without whom, cannot exist”, is a fantasia for piano solo portraying the solemn atmosphere filled with grief upon the passing of the late  King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, who devoted his entire life for Thailand, on October 13th 2016.


Siam Sonata:

Siam Sonata, a composition dedicated to HM King Rama IX on the occasion of his 75th birthday. Siam Sonata combines the unique identity of each of the four regions of Thailand in a solo piano sonata. The composition is divided into four movements, beginning with the Central Region, the Northeast, the North and ending with the South. The customs, traditions and languages of each region are representative of the spirit of the Thai culture.
